Laurenza “Laura� Petroni, 90, of Ewing passed away Friday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton.

Born in Omaha, NE, she has lived in the Trenton area for 64 years.

Mrs. Petroni was a homemaker and loved to cook. But her pride and joy was her family, especially her three grandchildren. She was a member of the St James Senior Citizens.

Daughter of the late John and Concetta Castro Siragusa, wife of 58 years of the late Bernard J. Petroni and sister of the late Lucille Smith, John and Sam Siragusa, she is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law – Palma and John Fecak of Ewing and Bernadette Goyne of Hamilton; her three grandchildren – Michael and his wife Laura Fecak of Ewing and David and Melissa Goyne of Hamilton; her three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nancy Bross of Omaha, NE, Josephine and Wayne Parrett of East Brunswick, Bessie McCullough of Lincoln, NE and James Smith of Omaha, NE; her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip and Georgia Siragusa and Alfred and Janice Siragusa all of Omaha, NE; her in-laws from the Petroni family; Gino Petroni, Samuel and Olga Petroni, Benjamin Petroni all of Trenton, Aurora Garbolevski of Hudson, MA and Ida Scardone of Trenton. Also, several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families who surrounded her heart with love and laughter.

Funeral will be Monday 9:15am from the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. James Church, Trenton at 10am. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton. Visiting hours will be Monday from 7:45 until 9:15am at the funeral home. Visit www.murphyfh.com.
