Bernard Rogers
Bernard Rogers, 91, of Trenton passed away Saturday at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he lived in Trenton most of his life.

Mr. Rogers was a woodworker with State Box and Lumber in Hamilton (now Delaware Valley Box) retiring in 1983 with over 20 years of service.

In his spare time he made wooden toys, yard ornaments, rocking horses, etc. Along with his friends, Walt Oser and the late Bill Corey, he enjoyed going to the flea market in Langhorne. He also began a lifelong friendship with his foreman Brad Greinke. What he loved more than anything, was spending time with his grandsons.

He was a Tech Sgt. with the Army-Air Corps during WWII, stationed in Eagle Pass, Texas where he met and married Margie Blake.

Predeceased by his wife, Margie Rogers, his mother, Mary, his father William, his step-father, Edward Knox, brothers, William Rogers and Edward Knox, Jr., sisters, Glayds Knox, Mae Wilson, and Frances Battalia. He is survived by his 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Pat and Liliana Rogers and William and Kathy Rogers, his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Martin Miller, his grandsons, Jason, Jon and Jeffrey Miller, special adopted granddaughter, Jessica Greinke, and granddaughters, Stephanie and Kimberly Rogers, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday 10:45am at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave. Hamilton. Visiting hours will be Thursday 6 to 9pm and Friday 9 until time of service. Burial will be in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
