Aline C. Orpen, 77, of Hamilton passed away on Thursday July 8, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
Born in Trenton, Aline was a life-long area resident.
She was an accountant for the State of New Jersey Division of Pensions and Benefits where she retired in 1992 after 43 years of service.
She was a graduate of Cathedral High School Class of 1950, a member of Sacred Heart Church and active with the Choir and Lords Table.
Aline was a past local President, State President, National President (1987 – 1988), and currently Treasurer of local Post #2 of the Italian American War Veterans Emil A. Petrecca Ladies Auxiliary. While in office, Aline enjoyed the traveling that came with the position. She was also a member of the Mt. Carmel Guild, Cathedral Alumni Association, and Seton Associates of the Sisters of Charity.
Daughter of the late Warren W. and Mary Frascella Orpen, sister of the late Cheri E. Ott, she is survived by two sisters Mary O. Latella, and Carol O. Hart both of Hamilton, one brother-in-law Robert F. Ott of Whiting, N.J., many nieces, nephews, and great nieces, and great nephews.
Funeral will be held on Monday 8:45 a.m. from the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church on S. Broad St. in Trenton.Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery Lalor St. in Trenton. Calling hours will be Sunday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home .
