Annamarie V. Cray
Annamarie V. Cray, age 73 of Ewing, NJ entered her final resting place at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease while under the loving care of her family.

She was raised in Philadelphia, PA. Annamarie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jennie Amandeo. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald (Ralph) Cray and the devoted mother of the late Ronald Cray. She is survived by her two dedicated sons, Ralph and Mark Cray of Ewing; two daughters and their spouses Karen and Rev. Charles Horton of Hamilton; and Linda and Richard Adens of Willingboro; dear sister, Esther Franchetti of Philadelphia, PA and her lifelong treasured friend, Phyllis Holsman of Ewing.

Annamarie was the loving grandmother of Dana, Taylor and Christian Adens, who lovingly helped with her caretaking while residing with them. She was blessed with five other grandchildren, Robert, Bryan and Shawn Warman; Michael and Ralph Cray; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Peggy Cray of Hazletown, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Before retiring, Annamarie was employed by the State of NJ, Department of Corrections in Trenton, and retired after 20 years of service.

During her life, she was an avid fan of Ewing Little League Baseball for many years. She assisted her husband and son in their coaching endeavors week after week as she kept score and cheered on each player from the dugout.

Annamarie was extremely dedicated to her family. Memories of her younger years, of her enjoyment playing Bingo, taking trips to Atlantic City, cooking Sunday dinner and her gentleness as a mother will be cherished. Memories will also be held close to her families hearts as we walked the journey of Alzheimer’s together, creating moments of joy singing and dancing to the tune of Elvis, watching her enjoyment eating lots of cake and sharing many challenges and rewards together. Alzheimer’s took her memory, but our memory of her will never be forgotten.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Jane Boone, RN and the rest of the Samaritan Hospice Team and, also to Wyndham Pursley, CRNP of Home Visiting Physicians.

Annamarie’s life celebration will be held privately at William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave, Ewing NJ 08618.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Annamarie Cray Memorial Fund c/o the M. William Murphy Funeral Home.
