Richard C. Maiorino
Richard C. Maiorino, 85, of Hamilton Square, N.J., passed away on Saturday March 3, 2012 at RWJUH at Hamilton.

Born in Trenton, Richard was a lifelong area resident
A graduate of Trenton Central High School, Richard then attended Seton Hall University in So. Orange, N.J., School of Business Administration, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree.

He managed Town Finance Company in Trenton for many years, and then was Executive Director of the Mercer County Improvement Authority. Richard then retired as an Arbitrator for the State of New Jersey after many years of service.

Richard was Past President of the Better Business Bureau, a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Consumer Finance Association, Past Vice President of the South Jersey Exchange Bureau, Past Vice Chairman of the Trenton Board of Adjustment, Past Chairman of the Mayor’s Committee on Public Safety, Past Chairman of the Columbus Day Committee, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Greater Trenton Chamber of Commerce, American Legion, and the North Trenton Lions Club.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in WW2, and the United States Army serving during the Korean War with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He also enjoyed golf, boating, was an avid New York Yankees fan, and was a long time member of the Fred and Pete’s Breakfast Club.

Son of the late Frederick Louis and Giulia Moretti Maiorino, grandfather of the late Jennifer Lynn Mocarski, he is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Keefer) Maiorino of Hamilton Square, N.J., two daughters Patricia Mocarski and husband Richard, Donna Reed and husband Richard, three sons Richard Maiorino Jr. and wife Marie, Robert Maiorino and wife Colleen, and Steven Maiorino, a daughter-in-law April Maiorino, 10 grandchildren Richard, Nicole, Erica, Samantha, Sarah, Cody, Laureen, Steven, Giulia, and Gina, five great grandchildren Aiden, Victoria, Abby, James, and Shawn, two brothers and two sisters-in-law Fred and Kathy Maiorino, and Joseph and Anne Maiorino, one sister and brother-in-law Elsie and Bob Little, and Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral will be held on Thursday 9:30 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton, N.J., Mercer County. Visit www.murphyfh.com.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, N.J. 08690.

Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton, N.J.

Calling hours will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
