Carmela Pannone Recine
Carmela Pannone Recine, 84, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday April 23, 2012 at home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Afragola, in the town of Naples, Italy, Carmela immigrated to the United States I 1948 to Brooklyn, New York, and in 1955 moved to the Chambersburg Section of Trenton where she has been a life long area resident.

She was a supervisor for East Wind Factory in Trenton where she retired in 1984 after 10 years of service. Then she was a cook at Mercer County Geriatric Center for 10 years.

Carmela was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Parish at St. Joachim’s, and belonged to the Madonna of Cassandrine. She enjoyed cooking for her family, shopping, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Daughter of the late Gennaro and Elvira Russo Pannone, wife of the late Generoso George Recine, and also pre-deceased by many siblings, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Generosa Georgette and John Walsh of Hamilton, three grandchildren Angela, Bridget, and Tara, seven great grandchildren Anthony, Taylor, Claire, Felicia, Kade Ryan, Leo, and Eli, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Italy.

Funeral will be held Saturday morning 8:15 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton. Visit www.murphyfh.com.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish at St. Joachim’s 2050 Butler St., Trenton, N.J. 08611.

Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum in Hamilton.

Calling hours will be Friday evening from 7 – 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
