Julia Elizabeth “Betty” Roe, 88, of Ewing passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday June 16, 2012.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa. Betty lived in Ewing, New Jersey for the last five years. Prior to residing in Ewing she lived in Levittown, Pa. and North Cape May, New Jersey. Betty was a past member and Eucharistic minister of St. John of God Church in North Cape May, a member of its choir and Altar and Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary, and the Christ Child Society where she served as the first president.

Betty was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was happiest when she was with her family.

Daughter of the late Thomas J and Juliana Green Darrah, she is survived by her husband of 67 years, Jack Roe; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Juliana and Wendell Pribila of Ewing, Jane and Robert Randolph of Venice Florida, Elizabeth Ann and Tony Butterworth of North Cape May and Jennifer and Christopher Sowa of Ewing; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, John R. Roe and Mary Costello of Philadelphia and Charles and Charlotte Roe of Gettysburg; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday in the chapel of the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Rd. Lawrenceville from 8:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.
