Dennis Patrick Burns Sr. On December 7, 2021, after 80 memorable years, Dennis "The Bud Man" Patrick Burns Sr. passed away surrounded by a large and adoring family. He was a lifelong resident of Trenton, NJ, except for a brief time spent in Lawrenceville, Georgia while employed by General Motors before retiring. Predeceased by his father and former White Sox catcher, Joseph Francis Burns, mother Harriet (Peet) Burns, brothers Joseph and William Burns and son-in-law Daniel A. Pagnotta III. Dennis was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, LaVerne M. (Dombrowski) Burns. He is also survived by his children, Dennis Patrick Burns Jr. (Tracey), Shaune Kathleen Pero, Casey John Burns (Tara Lee), Mollie Pagnotta, Keely Burns, and his stepchildren, Shannon Nelson, T.C. Denny graduated in 1959 from Trenton High School where he forged friendships that lasted decades. He was known for both his fierce sense of humor and sports acumen and was so very proud that baseball ran in the family! Denny was an avid golfer and starter at Mountain View Golf Course for the past 9 years, where he often greeted foursomes with wit and tales of common connections. A memorial mass service will be held in his honor on December 17th at Our Lady of Good Counsel in West Trenton, NJ at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
