Dorothy A Franko

Dorothy A. Franko, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Lawrenceville on June 14, 2017. Dorothy was born in Trenton, New Jersey and later in her life settled in Lawrenceville, New Jersey with her beloved husband, the late Michael Paul Franko. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and attended Rider College. After college, she found a career working in the Treasury Department for the State of New Jersey but her passion also focused on her religion. She served as a Eucharistic minister at The Church of St. Ann and also gave communion to homebound people. Dorothy was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wargo Harcar; wife of the late, Michael Paul Franko; sister of the late Helen Krantz, Thomas and Paul Harcar; aunt of the late Colleen Harcar. Survived by a loving son, Michael and his wife Brenda Franko; cherished by grandsons Michael and his wife Jill, Paul and his fiancé, Jordyn; Two Great-Grandsons, Braymon and Ronen; brother, Joseph Harcar, and sisters, Mary Zeyack, Eleanor Nowacki, and Mildred Lahiere; sister-in-law, Doris Harcar and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at The Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Rd, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648 on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Catholic Mass to follow at 10:30 AM. Burial on Tuesday will be private. She will be resting peacefully with her husband in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery.
