James V. Navarro, 91, of Ewing passed away peacefully on Sunday May 28, 2017 at Capital Health System - Hopewell. Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Navarro was a self-employed painting contractor, owning JN Painting for over 20 years servicing the Princeton area. Previously he was a member of the Painters Union and held the office of Business Agent. He was also the owner of the Turf Club in Trenton, which sponsored many local sports teams. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Navarro enjoyed his house on Long Beach Island and the time spent there with his family and friends. Son of the late Leonardo and Giovannina (Maddalena) Navarro, husband of the late Grace (Cammarata) Navarro, and brother of the late Lucy, Sue, Mary, Millie, Helen, Vita, Emma, Leonard, Robert and Joseph, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James J. and Jan Navarro of Blackwood; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Diane Navarro-Rusnak and Thomas Rusnak of Yardville; beloved grandchildren, Gina and husband Chad Vensel, Kate and husband Anthony Richards, and Noah and Austin Rusnak; great grandchildren, Ava Vensel, James and Emma Richards; a sister, Sylvia Carroll; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Navarro and Linda Navarro, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday 11AM - 12PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. Funeral service will begin at 12noon. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen.
