    Mary ?Nan? Mitzen

    Mary “Nan” Mitzen, 74, of Columbus, formerly of Robbinsville, passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at RWJUH at Hamilton.Born and raised inTrenton, and formerly of Robbinsville, Nan has been a resident of Columbus for the past 11 years.She was an administrative assistant for McGraw Hill Company in Hightstown for 15 years , and Mercer County Community College in West Windsor for 5 years.Nan was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church, and it’s travel group.She became a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Mercer County Division 6 in October 2000, and was degreed in 2002. Nan was an active member in her division serving as Financial Secretary and just newly elected to a 2nd term as Division President.Nan also, was an active member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians New Jersey State Board. She served as Freedom for all Ireland, Missions and Charities, Irish Historian, Vice President and presently was serving as out State President.Daughter of the late Richard and Bernice Lavin Carson, and wife of the late Frank John Mitzen Sr., she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Patricia A. Mitzen of Robbinsville; Timothy R. and Kim Mitzen of Claymont, DE; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Thomas and Joan Carson of Wilmington, De; Richard and Christine Carson of Bordentown; Br. Robert L. Carson, SJ of Cape May, NJ; one sister, Patricia Jean Carson, RSM of North Jersey; many nieces, nephew, cousins, and dear friends.Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M. ? 5:00 P.M. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton. For additional information visit www.murphyfh.com. The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernian members will do a prayer service for Nan at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4620 Nottingham Way in Hamilton Square. Burial will be in Bridadier Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ in North Hanover Twp.Donations in Nan’s memory may be made to American Lung Association 1031 US 22, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
