    Pauline Groch

    Pauline Groch, 87, of Ewing, passed away Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis.Born in Trenton, Pauline was a life long area resident.Mrs. Groch retired as the comptroller of Wiley-Hughes Supply Company in Trenton with more than 25 years of service. Pauline loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended all their school events, sport activities, and dance recitals. She was an avid reader and enjoyed polka dancing with her husband. Pauline was a compassionate and loving person, always ready to give a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore, the Pocono Mountains and visiting Maine in the summer months. She enjoyed traveling and made trips to California, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Hilton Head, Mexico and Argentina. She was a previous member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 458, the Holy Rosary Society and a current member of the Ewing Senior Citizens “Busy C’s” Club.Daughter of the late Frank and Stella Stefanowicz Garbarczyk, wife of the late Joseph A. Groch, mother of the late Leon M. Skwarek, Jr., sister of the late Alexander, John and Walter Garbarczyk, Cecilia Britton, Helen Dudbridge and Regina Rauth, she is survived by 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Susan Brozena of Ewing, Cynthia Gilbert and Ernie Schirmer of Lawrenceville, Debra and Jeffrey Pritchard of Millstone Twp., and Jo Ann and William R. Fiordland, Jr. of Cream Ridge; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Skwarek and her husband Rich Craver of Ewing; 9 grandchildren, Scott and Timothy Gilbert, Michael, Jeffrey and Brian Skwarek, Joseph and Alexandra Pritchard, William J. and Kira Fiordland; 5 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Rachel, Jared, Taelor and Joshua Gilbert; also, many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing, NJ 08618. The family will receive visitors Monday from 6:00-8:00PM and Tuesday from 8:30-10:00AM at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing, NJ 08618. Burial will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to HomeFront, 1880 Princeton Ave., Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
