    December 8, 1938 - February 21, 2021

Naomi Ruth Malick, 82, of Ewing, passed suddenly on February 21, 2021 at her home. Born on December 8, 1938 in GlenDale, WV, Ruth (as she liked to be called) grew up nearby in Moundsville, WV. She was a registered nurse and graduated with her degree from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. It was at this hospital where she worked for 2 years before marrying and moving to the Trenton area with her husband Gordon. After working at Mercer Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital, she retired to raise her two children. In 1980, she became a Library Assistant at the College of New Jersey and retired from there in 2000. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known for her compassion to family and others. Throughout her life, she provided care and support to elderly neighbors and friends, many times using her nursing background to assist. Ruth was predeceased in life by her parents Donley and Mildred Glover; as well as her two older siblings Doris and Norman Glover, who passed before her birth. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gordon Malick; son Thomas Malick of Manasses, VA; daughter Linda Brooks and husband Glenn of Jackson, NJ; grandchildren Ashley Gurganus of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Malick of Centreville, VA, and Olivia Malick of Centreville, VA. She was a longtime member of the Princeton Church of Christ. A memorial service will be held at the Church at a later time. Services are under the care and direction of Murphy Funeral Home at 935 Parkway Ave Ewing, NJ 08618. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service officiated by Minister Bruce Wadzeck will take place at Ewing Cemetery 78 Scotch Road Ewing, NJ 08628 on Thursday February 25, 2021 at 11:00AM . Services will be held in accordance with COVID guidelines, therefore limiting individuals within the facilities. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Princeton Church of Christ by either donating directly to the church on their website www.princetonchurchofchrist.org, in-person at 33 River Road Princeton, NJ 08540, or through the Treasured Memories Donation Page https://www.tmcfunding.com/funds/in-loving-memory-of-ruth-malick/5334/.
