Virginia Claire Provost, 94, of Hamilton, passed away on May 6, 2021 at Morris Hall: The Meadows. Born in Trenton, Mrs. Provost lived in Trenton and Hamilton for most of her life. For more than 20 years she worked for the Hamilton Township Library and during that time managed the Hamilton Square branch. She and her husband traveled across the US during their retirement and lived in Alamogordo, NM and Lititz, PA. She recently returned to the Trenton area. Mrs. Provost is predeceased by her parents Henry J. and Florence M. Nicklin, loving husband Thomas J. Provost Sr., sister Dorothy J. Casady, and daughter-in-law Jeanne M. Provost. She is survived by her sons Thomas J. Provost Jr., Paul D. Provost and wife Margaret, and daughter, Jane V. Cray and husband Steven; grandchildren Katherine A. Von Bargen and David, Michael D. Provost and wife Cheryl, Tina M. Provost, Daniela M. Provost, Laura E. Cray, and Ross S. Cray; great-grandchildren Ava E. Von Bargen, Lea N. Provost, and Alexis G. Provost. Having lived in the Southwest for several years Mrs. Provost was very interested in supporting Native Americans. Contributions in her memory may be made to the First Nations Development Institute, 2432 Main St 2nd Flr, Longmont, CO 80501 or the Native American Rights Fund, 1506 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80302. As per the family's wishes, funeral services were private. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.
